About the Archaeologist: Peter ‘Mungo’ Jupp
I’m a lucky man .I’ve got to indulge my passion .Since my early days I’ve been fascinated with the rise and fall of civilizations. Everywhere you go around the world you see ruins shattered abandoned in deserts and buried under sand .You’ve got to ask yourself WHAT HAPPENED ? He is an Australian archaeologist with a passion not to follow traditions in archaeology. Peter does not think archaeology Involves being ‘thrilled’ by dusting off broken pots and bones. What drives him is a passion to ask questions about civilisations and huge constructions that were suddenly smashed and just ‘disappeared’ from the face of Earth. He also questions how cosmic interference affected out planet.
He majored in Archaeology at the University of Melbourne. He also attended the school of creative arts at Melbourne University where he studied film making techniques and production. He has also lectured in Medical imaging at the Sydney University school of Radiology and studied fine art at the Chisholm institute of Technology. His second rate singing voice and guitar playing are also legendary (in his own mind) His earlier years were spent at RMIT studying applied chemistry. His naturally inquisitive nature and dedication to the mind’s love of logic and beauty has led him into an area of his passion that seeks answers from many disciplines. Hence he has studied Earth sciences, Biology, Mythology and Art at a tertiary level. His keen interest in the life sciences gives him a unique understanding of all aspects of the human journey on our planet and lends a fascinating edge to the storyline. His quest to explore the truth is unending.
