If you've made videos, you should upload them to Vimeo. It's free, easy, and private. And quick to sign up.

For work, I develop audio software. For play, I write and play music and make animations of it. Most of my music stuff lives online at musanim.com.

BTW, I notice that in a lot of the clips I've uploaded here, the audio suffers in the M4V-to-Flash conversion ... so, if you want to hear the music the way I recorded it, you'd better download the M4V original (it looks better, too).

    Did you know Stanley?

If the file is about 18 MB and called video-236432.m4v, you've got the right thing, and you possibly need to get the latest version of QuickTime. Or maybe kick your computer. Let me know if either works.

I don't know whether it's technically just a vocoder; it's a Roland VP-550. I just got it and this is the first thing I've done with it. It's rough; I'll probably do a better version when I get some chops ...

No, but you can do it yourself with my MIDI player (freeware available on my website).

    He commented on Pianola Demonstration

Heh! That's a funny observation. The thing is: when you play the piano, all the things shown in this demonstration are happening, but they're happening inside your head; so, playing the actual piano is harder because you have to do everything shown in this video _plus_ wiggle your fingers in exactly the right way.

I agree; all those things would be good to experiment with; I have done some of that (see my web site, musanim dot com), and would like to do more.

I'm an elementary school teacher in a Gifted & talented program. I'm planning a unit on the Senses with an emphasis on synesthesia and your videos are such fascinating examples of the blending of music and visual correlates. I really wanted to download the "Frog Round" as well as the Bach Toccatta, but when I click the MV4 my computer keeps telling me there's an error on the page. Am I forgetting something? I did register at Vimeo. Thanks for any help you might offer and keep up the good work!
