MUSIC HALL
The year is 1742. At Neal’s Music Hall on Fishamble Street Dublin, the choristers of Christ Church Cathedral are warming up for the first performance of a brand new oratorio 'Messiah'. This cutting–edge composition is the latest offering from the pen of George Frideric Handel and has aroused such interest from Dubliners that ladies have been asked to attend without hoops in their skirts and gentlemen without their swords.
Fast–forward 268 years and you'll find the swellest bands playing cool unplugged melodies in Handel's place. Except this time, you can bring along your hoops and swords, cos we got no funny rules.
