Kelvin Taylor
As a native of North Carolina, USA I took an interest in nature at an early age. Growing plants and observing insects was a favorite pastime in my childhood days. Today photography, gardening, and exploring the outdoors are hobbies I thoroughly enjoy.
I became involved in nature photography in college while completing my degrees in environmental biology and analytical chemistry. On my first fieldtrip in 1986 to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park during the spring wildflower season, I was captivated by myriad of plant life. I began studying botany and learning the art of photography. Shooting waterfalls captured my interest in the 1990's. Today the thrill of seeing and photographing wildflowers, waterfalls and nature scences is as strong as my first encounter.
My first camera was a Pentax K1000. In 2001 I switched to digital with the purchase of a Canon PowerShot. Today I own a Canon ProShot 1 which captures short video clips. I like flexibly of digital and seeing the results instantly. The photos here are just a sample of the many I've taken over the years. My passion is photographing waterfalls and wildflowers, but all of nature's forms are fascinating to me. Take time to go out and see what nature has to offer.
