New Hampshire Group
American University School of Communication students spent five whirlwind days producing great work in New Hampshire for Special Topics in News Media: Covering the 2008 Presidential Election, a new course.
The students--from all three SOC program divisions--are working in small teams and will chronicle their New Hampshire experiences in 3- to 5-minute video vignettes. Each vignette will focus on a different subject.
Three full-time SOC faculty members--all highly experienced working professionals-- are teaching the new course: Dotty Lynch, a consultant for CBS News steeped in political polling; Lynne Perri, former deputy managing editor for graphics and photography at USA Today; and Bill Gentile, a photojournalist and documentary filmmaker whose credits include work for Newsweek, ABC News Nightline and Bill Moyers' NOW.
