Christopher is a filmmaker and cinematographer. His first film, Finding D-QU: The Lonely Struggle of California’s only Tribal College premiered at the 2010 Slamdance Film Festival, screened at over 11 international film festivals and is currently distributed by Third World Newsreel. In 2011 Chris released Por Fin Parió Paula, a short documentary he co-filmed and directed about an all-female percussion ensemble in Lima, Peru. The film played at various film festivals, won the Reel 13 Online Film Contest and was broadcast on PBS. Snag Films recently acquired the film for distribution. In addition to his documentary work Chris also works as freelance cinematographer for films and television commercials with clients like Levi's, Prada, Alternative Apparel, SF Jewish Film Festival and Dignity Health. He holds a Masters degree in Social Documentary from UC-Santa Cruz. Chris lives and works in San Francisco, California.
