Video & projection Designer working alongside a hand-picked and specialist team of expert content creators, producers and programmers to create integrated video & projection design for Theatre and Live Events.

Recently, she and her team have created work for The Energy Show Live at the Science Museum in London; for Glyndebourne Festival’s ‘Hippolyte et Aricie‘ with specialist DOP, Vron Harris and co-designed projections for ‘Faust’ at the Mariinsky Theatre, working with Ian Galloway.

Other Theatrical work includes projection design for Puccini’s ‘La Bohème’ (WNO), Wagner’s ‘The Flying Dutchman’ (ENO); Lloyd Webber’s ‘Phantom Of The Opera’ (UK Tour); ‘Aida’ (Raymond Gubbay, RAH); ‘Cleopatra‘ (Northern Ballet), Ibsen’s‘Emperor and Galilean‘ in a new version by Ben Power (National Theatre) and the Mariinsky Theatre’s recent production of Britten’s opera, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, which won the Zolotoy Sofit award for Best Opera and was shortlisted for 7 Golden Mask Awards. Other projects for Theatre include projection co-design for Backbeat at the Duke of York’s Theatre with Timothy Bird, which was shortlisted for best musical and best design in the 2011 Critic’s Circle awards and has toured to Canada and the USA; Video design & content production for Armstrong & Miller‘s Live UK comedy tour and Katy Brand’s UK comedy tour and in 2009, she co-designed projections for Richard Strauss’, ‘Die Frau Ohne Schatten‘, at the Mariinsky Theatre, St Petersburg, which received a Golden Mask for Best Opera Production with Paul Brown being awarded a mask for Best Opera Production Designer. In addition to repertory performances, the opera has toured to Ljubljana, Tokyo and the Edinburgh International Festival.

Nina also engages in the educational aspects of her industry. She has works as a tutor and mentor at Mountview College where she is developing a Digital Production module with Katherine Sandys. Nina was a speaker at this year’s World Stage Design Festival at the Video In Performance session and has been workshopping a new show for 2015 with The National Theatre of Scotland, working alongside Laurie Sansom and three Linbury prize entrants as the Projection Design Mentor.
