    this was/is a missing feature in Mari at the time of the recording. You can't "paint through" from the paint buffer onto the geo, you can only do this from the image buffer onto the paint buffer (or whatever these things are called), and when using the "paint through" tool you can't line up the image buffer to fit the camera's frustum (like the projector does). I was a little disappointed when I noticed that a well but I think they will fix this.
