Oceans of Life is a nonprofit project displaying the immense richness, diversity and beauty of our oceans.
The idea and name came about on a dive expedition to Raja Ampat (Indonesia) in spring 2012. Witnessing scientist Dr. Gerry Allen breaking his former world record and counting 374 different species in one dive and seeing with our own eyes how beautiful and diverse our oceans can be, we realized how rare and beautiful untouched reefs are.
The purpose of ‘Oceans of Life’ is to share the beauty and diversity of our oceans. It is our hope that this sharing will create a higher awareness of how fragile they are.
