Camanchaca is an audio-visual film – a reflection of impressions experienced during a journey across the extreme fields of the two most southern regions of South America – Chile and Argentina.
This film is a complete audiovisual experience for the reason not to distract the audience from the original and pure impressions.
It is the most extreme windsurfing adventure of the New World Spirits crew so far, performed in lagoons, at a height of 4,500m above sea level in the Andes (Atacama desert) amid smoking volcanoes, in the National Park “Torres del Paine“, at the notorious “Beagle Channel“, on the “Lago Argentino“ beneath the edge of the unique Perito Moreno glacier and at the Pacific Coast of Chile. We have discovered these extraordinary spots for windsurfing.
Extreme windsurfer Thomas Miklautsch and his pal, the photographer Richie Pichler, are travelling on
an ancient Chilean bus from Santiago 1,000km heading south to Tirua, a small village in the chilean
Mapuche country. This is the setting, where the two adventurers experience all the highlights in surrealistic dreams.
