This was an amazingly insightful documentary into the world of street photography, similarly to "Jiro dreams of sushi" watching this will help in your understanding of street photos, and street photography, a genre of photography often overlooked. Thank you for making this.

I feel like I learned so much more about seeing life, energy and soul without the camera. We get so caught up on the technical aspects sometimes that we forget how to make emotional, story-telling pictures. This film went into the psychology of photography, thank you guys for bringing this to us!

Really enjoyed watching this tonight after waiting so long for it to come out. I do, however, wish there was a DVD or Blue Ray that I could watch on the big screen in HD.

I really enjoyed watching it, but I wouldn't watch it twice. Maybe it's just me, but 15(?) artists in 85minutes was way too much in my humble opinion. It might be a personal preference of me, but I would have preferred to see just two or three artists but with much deeper insights. Who they are, why they do what they do, what they feel and so on. Something in the style of Daido Moriyama "Near Equal". Don't get me wrong, it's a nice film, but it doesn't felt that much like a documentary to me. More like walking through a gallery with short stories behind it.

Fantastic!!! But I saw some footage of Louis Mendes briefly in the film, but he was not introduced or interviewed? If he was, maybe you can post it as bonus clips? He's fascinating. This film is incredible, inspiring, humbling. Great music. Great cinematography. Great interviews.

Thank you for a quality Sunday night. This was exhilarating and I've learned more about myself than about street photography while watching. Cheers team! I've met Martha Cooper in Montreal this summer and I didn't know her before. She was documenting Mural Festival and I could feel so much passion and energy and wisdom in the way she moved around and looked at things. So I approached her and started talking, asking where she was from and such. She was very humble and patient, super cool. Live and learn.

Wow! What an amazing look into how photography can say so much about us as people and about life in general. I will definitely watch this film. Kudos to the editor of this trailer as well for a job well done about summing up a film which aims to sum up life. Very intriguing. Thank you.

Great photographers. Always mind opening to hear the thoughts of the masters of the art. I would have liked less photographers and more in depth interviews, but there are advantages in showing more artists as well. The nervous cinematography got onto my nerves a bit but otherwise a great documentary. I have to admit, I'm a bit sensitive to the constant moving of a camera. Nice editing work and choices in music!

What an amazing film, to all those involved in project, thank you! During the montage of Bruce's 100th Street work I was moved to tears. Hearing his words about the subjects, dignity, and the weight of 4x5's combined with his images was just so beautiful. What a gift...

Camera work is distracting from the content at times, but overall very interesting insight to this niche of photography. The flow of the editing's mixture of interviews and supporting visuals from the artists worked very well. Also liked seeing each photographer at work and seeing their different styles.

Interesting fim. Strangely, no editor is credited? And the music is all over the place, so it becomes distracting. And why so little of and about Mary Ellen Mark? Nevertheless, at the end, it's wonderful to see New York through the eyes of these very different street photographers.

It's evident that a lot of time and passion went into this project. Apart from highlighting the work of some of the masters of New York street photography, the documentary goes one step further into the actual photographers themselves - some of these people are very private and introspective, and I can imagine it's no small feat to bring out just how interesting they are as people. Thank you for this, Cheryl Dunn. I enjoyed it immensely. As others have noted, it would be interesting to see even more - maybe a series or something episodic to spend more time with these greats?

One of the best documentaries that I have ever seen. I showed it to some women who are street photographers and they were inspired by the fact that there are at least four women profiled. I do not use the word empowering often, but I saw this as an empowering film for women. That said, I cannot praise Cheryl Dunn enough for creating and presenting this gem. Watching the profile of Jamal Shabazz is a marvellous lesson in courage, dignity, humanity and expertise. The sage advice and encouragement of Joel Meyerowitz is inspirational. There are so many other stand out moments in the film that all I can do is recommend that you view it and view it often. This film is indispensable for anyone who likes street photography and all levels of street photographers.

I saw this at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland tonight and really enjoyed it. As a street photographer myself, it was fascinating to watch these photographers at work. The insight into their personalities and motivations was very interesting. Thank you for making this film! As others have commented, I too wish that I could get a BluRay of this for gifting to folks, especially those that are not very tech savvy.

I watched the inspiring documentary ‘Everybody Street’. I can remember that I used to live in a street where the neighbors had 1 camera. No-one else had 1 camera in our street. Valuable for anyone who owns a camera and likes to shoot pictures sometimes.

Jesus all these five star reviews...I paid my five bucks, I'm a life long street photographer and I can't see the film............what do I do. I love the notion of buying the film on Vimeo and then sharing it with all my Australian friends who are street photographers too....but what do you do when you are in an area that just doesn't have download capacity..........?

Um dos melhores documentarios sobre fotografia e feito com grandes fotografos, mostra e reforça o facto de que há uma porta aberta para novos valores na fotografia moderna.
