Simply wonderful film. Thanks to all the people who thought this was a story that needed to be told...and now is a great time to do this. With all the attention with BLACKFISH now maybe these films can work together and help save other orcas that are in captivity. I would love to see another release coming soon, maybe Lolita (I can only pray). I praise you all for all your wonderful work. The trainers, the Free Keiko foundation, and the children who came together to prove this can be done and we can do it again! Keiko.....may your strong will live on forever in other captured orcas. Give them the strength to believe and hope that it can happen...you can go back home. We can do this....we HAVE to keep this fight up and save more! Keiko opened those doors and we just have to get the others through them. Wonderful film. thank you for sharing this with us all! Sincerely, Sandra Monville

This was beautiful. There is NO good reason to keep orcas in captivity. They should all get the same opportunity that Keiko had, and we owe it to them financially and morally to make sure it happens. It would also prevent future attacks on trainers if we were to stop holding them against their will. The things we have done and still do with them are barbaric, and Tilikum is proof of that, as well as Morgan, Keiko, and especially Kasatka, whose children have been taken from her several times. For creatures as intelligent or more so than humans, we should recognize the mental impact this would have on someone whose family has been stolen from them, and return them immediately. What do we need to do to make this happen?

I was always a fan of the "Free Willy" movies as a kid and I visited Keiko with my mom at the Oregon Coast Aquarium numerous times. I remember watching Keiko's transport from Oregon to Iceland on the internet, which back then was kind of a big deal, because I believe the internet at the time was a bit faster than dial-up. :P I was so happy to see him getting rehabilitated in the wild, but sad when i heard he passed away. This documentary along with "Blackfish" shed important light on the captivity of Orcas in the world, but I also think it will open people's eyes to the captivity of all animals and creatures. My hope is that one day, all zoos and aquariums will become obsolete, as there will no longer be animals in captivity.

Great film that reveals the wonderful legacy of such a beloved animal. I grew up during the "Free Willy" era and remember insisting that my parents take me to the Oregon Coast Aquarium to see Keiko up close. It's an experience I will never forget, and nothing warms my heart more than to know that he died in his home waters, free and happy - rather than cooped up in some concrete tank.

I saw Blackfish yesterday and now Keiko. I remeber going to Keiko's show in Reino Aventura in Mexico City when i was a kid, and to know that he was suffering breaks my heart. When he went away, everybody in Mexico was so sad, but now I know it was for good and that he was able to live free for a long time.

We can no longer keep these beings in the small pens. I cried so much watching this. It breaks my heart the to see the torture they are subjected to. No more capture and no more killing of Orcas. No more. Great film documenting Keiko's life. If you saw free willy you must see this. Boycott Marine parks. Boycott Seaworld.

For all those people who lie & say Keiko died sad & alone. For those people who say he should have stayed his whole life in a concrete pool eating frozen fish. There is nothing more important to any animal but to be free. Although it is POSSIBLE that Keiko May have "lived" longer in captivity, it also could be said that he died way early BECAUSE he was in captivity so long and that he died when he did simply because he was ultimately damaged from the captivity. Ultimately, he died free, with his friends nearby. How sad that he was pulled from the ocean to begin with, away from his true family. The idiots of the marine industry don't seem to understand that THEY are the ones who have caused this controversy. Stop taking cetaceans /dolphins out of the wild, stop producing them into captivity, stop the SeaWorld circuses and release the dolphins and orcas into Seapens.
