I'm not one for short films, that being said, I gave this one a shot because of all the good things I've heard with it's award-winning status. I'm glad I did! From the beginning to the end, I was drawn in to the scheme of things. It isn't quite clear for most of the duration if this is a "suspense" film or a "horror" film and that alone kept me guessing what I was in for! The pace is just slow enough to make you sit on the edge of your seat, but quick enough to keep you hanging on until the very end; and what an ending! The characters showed good timing, the film showed good taste, and the editing was done to perfection! I DO recommend this film.

This fabulously creepy film is 100% award worthy! The suspense is what kept me watching, along with the A+ acting, filming, and editing. My husband and I watched it last night before bed. Bad idea, lol! Pretty darn scary!!! However, it was certainly worth watching. Well executed until the final, drop-dropping scene. Now, stop reading, and GO WATCH IT!

Awesome short film. The awkward tension was so real it felt like I was in the scene with them. The actors were great. Very believable, especially the toe curling scream at the end. I will definitely think of this film when I stay in mountain cabins in the future! Especially the washing machine and basement!! Definitely a must see.

I LOVED it! The tension between the actors was believable and had me on the edge of my seat, especially near the end. It was very well-produced and edited! I was highly impressed! It is WELL worth the download! It packs a lot of terror for a short film! Tommy is a friend of mine and I am very proud of him, the crew, and the actors for their amazing work! "The Cabin" definitely deserves the awards it's won so far!

Horse Creek Productions is an independent horror film production company owned by filmmaker Tommy Faircloth from Columbia, South Carolina. He begin working in film as an actor, landing small roles of such television programs as “In The Heat of The Night” but he really wanted to work behind the camera. After graduation from high school, he attended film school at University of South Carolina in Columbia and worked on many feature films such as Renaissance Man, The Program, and Die Hard With a Vengeance.

His directorial debut was the horror/comedy “Crinoline Head” which was received with positive reviews from such publications as Fangoria magazine. A few years later he followed up “Crinoline Head” with his second feature film, “Generation Ax”. “Ax” received great reviews from publications such as Rue Morgue, Film Threat, Fangoria, and was praised by horror legend Joe Bob Briggs where he gave it 4 stars.

After “Ax” Faircloth took a break from horror and worked on many of his own theme park and roller coaster documentary projects also also worked on shows for such channels as Discovery and The Travel Channel.

In 2013 Tommy began his quest to get back into the horror scene with his first short film “The Cabin” which won “Best Short” at Fear Fete Film Festival, Freak Show Horror Film Festival, Wilson College Horror Film Festival, Scared Stiff Halloween Film Festival, and the San Antonio Horrific Film Festival. The Cabin was also picked up by Shorts International for broadcast on their cable channel, ShortsHD.

Tommy is currently developing a sequel to “Crinoline Head” as well as another feature film “Family Possessions” and is also the festival director for a new horror film festival called Crimson Screen Horror Film Festival taking place in Charleston, SC.
