All money that governments spend, is stolen from other people! I can't watch this video in my location, but it looks like this video laments the governments inability to steal as much money, as you would like, from the big companies. This is part of why these companies are so successful in the first place! Western economies are screwed because of the strangling vine of socialism. Their money is THEIR money! Not yours or Uncle Sams. There is no amount of money that you can steal from another that can be classed as a "fair share".

@dalriada: please, go back to school, and study what the words state, government and republic mean... before expressing your little desperately lonely egotism... it is so sad to hear such a binary way of thinking in 2013... the main political question that we all share, what ever you want, is about "living together", and property is just a part of it... excepted may be, poor you, in your suffering individual mind... all the best... truelle*

Later- After reading @dairiada I better cool off before saying something Later- The trailer was excellent and want to buy the movie but I need to cool off after reading @dalriada- I write constantly but there are no words for somebody that clueless. My 6 year old grandson has more sense than that!

Ah nothing like a bunch of socialist whiners...its not fair they want us to work for our money. Maybe if the Govt didn't tax the hell out of everyone and then absolutely waste the money on crap corporations wouldn't try to hide it in the first place.

What is money anyway? You know, the stuff the Federal Reserve makes out of thin air and then showers the banks with? Why does the government need it back in the form of taxes? Is it perhaps to legitimize it? You whiners are just jealous that you can't afford lobbyists to draft legislation for your congressmen and senators (senators are quite expensive these days I hear).

The rich NEVER paid taxes, people came here from Europe because they wanted to stop paying taxes. The country was founded upon that premise. The putz who pays taxes on a $30K income isn't doing his homework on 1) Investing what he has, 2) in things like tax-free bonds, 3) what Quantitative Easing is really all about but why you can't find a twenty printed after 2009, 4) Putting about 6-7 'dependents' on their W-2 form so that they owe the govt. money (and collect some interest on that money!) next April instead of the other way around and 5) charitable contributions (with valid receipts) on items they'd either sell or throw out... even Clinton wrote off his 20 pairs of grundies! Lastly, realize that if we didn't have poor people, there would be nobody to take your order at McDonald's (those people striking for $15 actually wanted disability benefits!) or bag your groceries. Oh and the video isn't FREE either, so shut the phuck up and fix me a sandwich!

Probably going to be a pretty good movie but it will not end the polarized debate which rages in these comments. This is so because no one on either the left or right is making the distinction between earned and unearned income. Earned income is what labor gets from work and main street gets from investment of real capital in the real economy where real goods and services are produced. Taxation of earned incomes is theft and always produces a negative result as decried by the political right.

I don't know what the few negative reviews are about, but they missed the whole point of the film. This is something that's endemic in our society, but has been going on for years and years. It has changed my shopping habits and the way I do business with products and services from large corporations.

To the right-wing one-star reviewers (who obviously didn't even watch the film): so, you're OK with massive multinational corporations buying off our political system, rigging the tax code against the citizens of this country, and not paying a dime of taxes on the billions in profits they hoard while at the same time receiving billions of dollars worth of government services -- an educated workforce, our transportation infrastructure, national defense, etc? You really think that the status quo is great? If you're not in the top 1% , these policies -- such as lower tax rates on capital gains --- are hurting you and your fellow citizens. You seem to think that taxing corporations and wealthy people is "theft," but I challenge to to consider whether using the goods and services of our society (roads, infrastructure, courts, etc) without paying for them isn't a more obvious and sinister form of theft... theft from all of us who pay taxes on the income from our work.

Why is this movie not available in my region (Thailand)? I am a citizen of the world and can't understand this separatist policy!

So if we give more money to the Federal government things would be better? Our national debt is already larger than our yearly GDP. Government waste, fraud and abuse are destroying the economy for working people. The ØbamaKare fiasco is proof enough that the Feds have run out of good ideas. People buy things they want from corporations, unlike the government. The Feds have long since been getting more than their fair share.

If this movie had been made in the 70s when the corporations FIRST started to dismantle good jobs with benefits and squash the growing consumer rights movements in congress . .we might have had a chance to stop it. But this is old news. I want a film to teach me something I don't already know.

There are soooo many fake accounts criticizing this film's trailer. The film looks good, I'm excited to see how it breaks the details down. As for the negative ratings and extreme right wing rhetoric on this comment page, It's obviously an effort to pretend there are honest informed Americans, that believe a corporation that receives aid from federal and state governments, especially in banking and oil where they often run their businesses in ways that harm the nation, shouldn't pay the same taxes every citizen is supposed to. Ignore the trolls.

Well, never the people of this poor planet where so educated (what ever this means) .Is the first time that so many know what the governments do. Very good debate here, 5 stars for it and want to see the movie.

Can we all agree? Any reasonable citizen realizes there is merit to paying ones fair share in taxes (say 3-10%). They would also realize that corporations have a tendency to corruption, greed, misappropriation, and abuse of leverage. The problem is that The Government (notice I do not refer to them as "our" government, as they have long ago forgotten the whole "by the people, for the people" thing) is at least as corrupt any crooked, avarice-driven big corporation; they are in fact one and the same. How do we think they get these huge tax breaks?
