    Thanks for the kind feedback. I'm glad that my experience was able to help someone else. I think you'll really like the Xacti. I have not regretted keeping it over the MinoHD. In a world of compromises, I think the Xacti has the best bang for the buck. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to message me.     Sorry, it took so long to reply. I haven't been as active on Vimeo as I'd like to be. The answer is no, the flash cannot be used as auxiliary lighting for video. Would be a great idea, though.
