Th image is from a protest in Kenya of young Kikiyu women who were 'villiagised' in the mass open concentration camp created by the British State in the 1950's. The image was taken from a book supplied by the Kenyan National Archives in Nairobi as part of research for a short documentary on the Mau Mau resistance to the emergency.
