Paulo Nunes dos Santos
Paulo Nunes dos Santos (b. 1977, Portugal) is a Dublin based freelance journalist & photographer. He graduated from the Universidade Autonoma de Lisboa in 2002 with a masters in Communication Sciences/Journalism.
He has since traveled extensively documenting conflict, current affairs, humanitarian crises, social issues and political instability in various regions such as the Middle East, North and Central Africa, Caucasus, Southeast Asia and South America.
Paulo collaborates as an international correspondent with the Portuguese reference newspaper Expresso and often publishes his work internationally. His photos and feature stories have appeared in publications such as TIME.com, The New York Times, The Guardian, El Pais, Irish Times, BBC, New York Post, Berlingske Tidende, The Canberra Times, Smithsonian as well as in a variety of corporate magazines and websites.
Paulo has also undertaken assignments on social issues for organisations such as UNHCR, Landmine Action, Dublin Simon Community and Handicap International among others.
He is a member of Gaia Photos, a collective of international photojournalists and documentary photographers, collaborates with 4SEE Photo Agency and has his work represented worldwide by Polaris Images.
Paulo is available for national and international assignments.
