Born on July 1, 1976 in Koszalin, Poland. Received an M.F.A. degree in drawing from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland, in 2000. The same year, he participated in the Advanced Art Course with Marina Abramovic hosted by Fondazione Antonio Ratti in Como, Italy. In 2002, he was awarded residencies at both CCA Kitakyushu Japan and Bay Area Video Coalition/Headlands Center for the Arts in San Francisco. In 2007 he participated in the International Studio and Curatorial Program in New York City. Also that year he was granted his second residency at the Headlands Center for the Arts. He moved to San Francisco from Warsaw in 2008 and has been a permanent resident of United States since. In 2010 he was granted a residency at Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam.
His work was included in the Whitney Museum of American Art’s major exhibitionThe American Effect in 2003. In addition to several solo exhibitions in Poland and USA, his work has been featured in group exhibitions in Canada, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and USA. All that said, he is simply a good artist.
