Born and raised in Padova (Italy), Paolo started out as a comedy writer for the award-winning Italian TV show "Zelig". Winner of a Fulbright Scholarship, he moved to the US where he switched his attention to directing and earned a Masters degree in Film Production at USC in Los Angeles (USA). While there, he directed the award winning short films "Santiago" and "Have you ever heard about Vukovar?", two political dramas which played at numerous festivals around the world (Tribeca, Telluride, Aspen, Tokyo and many more).
His unique visual and storytelling skills has brought him to produce and direct commercials, documentaries, videos and TV shows in the US and in Europe for clients such as Lexus, Gucci Group, Mediaset, Discovery, Ringo Starr, Current TV, Capitol Records and many more. In addition to that, his work and screenplays have received consideration from the Sundance Institute, the Cannes Film Festival Cinefondation Residence Program, and Documentary in Europe pitching forum.
Now based in Milano, Italy, Paolo is the coordinator of the international filmmaking workshop "OffiCine-Film Factory Italia" at IED, working alongside artistic director Silvio Soldini.
