Penny Perkins is a visual artist, writer, and educator. She grew up in southern Illinois, lived and worked for many years in New York City, and currently resides in New York’s Capital District. Her short films and experimental videos have been screened throughout New York State. Recent video art projects include short videos focusing on time-based photographic & ephemeral images, and an on-going photographic & video series of industrial neon signs, with a special focus of examples from along Route 66.
Penny Perkins is an assistant professor at The Sage Colleges where she teaches courses in communications and interdisciplinary special topics.
