Erol Alkan, a DJ and producer founded Phantasy Sound in 2007 with legendary status in UK and abroad. For ten years Erol ran a pioneering London club night called Trash, it was an alternative art school crowd favourite that entertained celebrities of all statures. Its closing party was held in 2007, but its influence can still be felt as it popularised contemporary big hitters such as The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Klaxons and LCD Soundsystem, all of whom played formative gigs there.

Since then Erol’s profile has continued to rise through working with artists such as Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers and The Scissor Sisters. But as ever he continues to do what he does best: introducing music fans to new and exciting sounds, today primarily through his label Phantasy Sound.

As well as Erol himself, artists that have released records on the label include, Boys Noize, Chilly Gonzales, Fan Death, Connan Mockasin, Paul Chambers, LA Priest, Primary 1, Fan Death, Dance Area, Riton, Boris Dlugosch and Late of the Pier.
