Hunter McCurry is currently a masters student at Stanford's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA). His research interests include software design for music, physical interfaces for music, computer-assisted live performance techniques, and interactive computer scores for performers.
He has recently finished undergraduate degrees in both Technology in Music and Related Arts (TIMARA) and Computer Science at Oberlin College. As a composer, he has collaborated across disciplines, working with dance, film, animation, and theater. His focus is on musical works that highlight ways in which technology can become an extension of the human performer, and the role technology plays in a live performance setting.
