Reporter, editor, roving rambler.
I've been taking pictures for a very long time, but I only recently (spring 2011) began dabbling with video and my only goal is to improve, at least marginally, from one little project to the next.
I'm on the road quite a bit but have little time to plan what, or when, I'll be able to shoot. So much of what is here is shot from the hip - visual notebooks, fleeting records of a given place at a moment in time. Most of the shorter pieces and vignettes are quick video notes for my blog, pirancafe.com.
UPDATE Oct-2013 - I just wrapped up a seven-month overland trip from Tierra del Fuego in Argentina to San Jose, Costa Rica, where I was halted by a bout of Hepatitis A. Now I'm writing a book about it.
Jeez, those sausages look good. Looks like the festival's colors are blue and white, eh? So, do you just live on the road and keep reporting back to all of us? Weren't you just in Patagonia?
