Found your posting as I wanted to see what people were using as well so this is a bit late but... I just received my Lightcraft Workshop variable ND filter and have used it a bit and the results are great. I had an older vari-ND filter which I used form some exterior shoots and it achieved the basic results, but as tracy mentions, don't go crazy. I find with certain lenses and at certain situations produce un-desireable results. particularly stopping down the ND filter heavily. That being said, this LCW ND filter has improved dramatically on that. I too use a polarizer and for certain situations it's been great when I can adjust other parameters to adjust light. great for skies and water shots when the sun is at 90 from what I've heard and experimented with. Your piece was powerful and some really nice shots in there but I do see some spots where a ND would have helped you
