Born in Oakland, California. Graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School. BS in Mass Communications from Emerson College and an MS in Organizational Management from SIT in Vermont. Video and film editor since 1992. I have cut 16mm film and used linear tape based systems as well. I was working as an editor in Boston during the big move to digital nonlinear video editing. In 1998 I formed Primal Digital and moved to NYC. I was working at Showtime Networks as night time tech support for the Media 100 editing suites, but also worked on many other interesting projects while working for Viacom. When I left to work as a freelance video editor in 2000, I got a referral to work on Nickelodeon's latest show, "Dora the Explorer" and worked there for 5 years as Animatic Editor, while running Primal Digital as a studio and event space in DUMBO, Brooklyn, NYC. In 2005 I went to Vermont to get my Masters Degree in Organizational Management. I now teach film making, run events and do live and studio sound engineering. I also run a small 20 acre community homestead where I raise my two daughters. New projects are unfolding...
