Pat R Notaro III

Pat R. Notaro III is a cinematographer living in Los Angeles. Raised in a Southern California environment that involved surfing, skateboarding, and photography he was able to translate this lifestyle and influence into film making at Brooks Institute of Photography.

Since graduating film school in 1998 Pat has navigated his way through a Panavision Internship to all positions in the camera department including Steadicam Operator. His knowledge of shooting medias other than film such as the RED Camera and 24P High Definition has made him a diverse cinematographer who enjoys the new opportunities these formats bring. Blending live action with motion graphics, his innovative techniques in lighting can create a seamless environment where two worlds become one. Working in conjunction with Broadcast Graphic Design firms his work has been recognized with accolades from the BDA's (Broadcast Design Awards) and the MVPA's (Music Video Production Awards). He possess a stylistic approach and traditional belief that light is an actual living breathing character. Pat believes strongly in supporting humanitarian and environmental causes and making films to educate, restore hope and become tools for change.
