MEGAN SMITH-HARRIS

Megan’s career encompasses documentary, television, film, theater and radio. She is the president and owner of Pyewackitt Productions, LLC an independent documentary television production company with a commitment to create high quality, socially relevant documentary programs with a unique perspective.

Most recently, Megan executive produced and directed SURROGATE STORIES, a two-hour special about surrogate mothers and their intended parents airing on the Women’s Entertainment Network in June 2011. Previous projects for WEtv include CHILD BRIDES (Executive Producer/Director/Writer) and POLYGAMY(Producer/ Writer), both for the anthology series, Secret Lives of Women. In Canada, Megan produced 24 documentary profiles featuring celebrated Canadians. She was also the associate producer/co-writer for the live broadcast of the Toronto Arts Awards two years running (CBC and Bravo). She co-wrote and produced MAD IN CANADA, a comedy revue, which ran for over a year in Toronto and Montreal. Megan also co-wrote and performed 50 live episodes of THE NORM, a popular national CBC radio series.

Megan is also the programmer and moderator of the NEW PERSPECTIVES DOCUMENTARY FILM SERIES. She lives in Wilton, CT with her husband and son.
