The River Cities' Reader is an independently owned alternative bi-weekly tabloid size newspaper and multi-media website, based in Davenport, Iowa. The newspaper was founded in 1993 and is circulated throughout the Quad-Cities metropolitan area and outlying communities.

The Reader's position statement is "business, politics, arts and culture -- Now you know." The Reader has a loyal audience who seek out its insightful commentaries, thorough feature length stories devoid of fluff, deep coverage of all things cultural, humorous and irreverent columnists, and exhaustive event calendars and local search tools.

The website has been online since 1995 and as of 2009, moved to a daily publishing schedule for original content.
