I am still in what can be termed my early thirties. I look older, I know.

I have a Kodak C340 digital (still) camera. It has a video function but the microphone is too sensitive for my tastes (and I didn't see anything in the manual about turning it down).

When I was a teenager, I wanted to make music videos. I did go to grad school for film but didn't finish. I am struck by good ideas all the time. Hopefully some of them will make it onto here.

Some bands that I would recommend because I've been thinking about them a lot lately: Plaid, Prefuse 73, and Aesop Rock.

At the end, her "What are you laughing at?" is like her version of Joe Pesci's "Am I funny? No, no: Am I funny to you?" :)

I'm curious (and perhaps you've addressed this): do you think about how much of the house you're willing to show? Do you frame shots in certain ways or only shoot stuff in certain rooms? (I've been out of the loop for a couple of years, so I apologize if the questions are repeats.)

Coldplay?? My GOD, you've gone MAINSTREAM (gasp!)! You might as well be Brian Williams! :)

I can see by your daughter's hippy-dippy dancing style that she will be in a fringe group in high school and follow whatever band that takes Phish's place in the future (unless they stick out like the Dead) and be horrified that she ever danced to a group like Coldplay "Oh my God my parents were so horrible to me".

Of course, her hippy-dippy dancing style might be a direct copy of her parents and OF COURSE she's going to be in a fringe group in high school I'm mean my god look who her parents are. :)

Great video and I second the question about the camera. I love depth of field, it lends such a feeling of intimacy to any picture.
