Roberto Raineri-Seith lives in Locarno, southern Switzerland.
Composer and performer of electronic soundscapes for art exhibitions, video productions and sound installations, as an "analogue synthesizer guru", since the first 1980s he also lectures and holds workshops on analogue electronic music, instruments and techniques. From 1989 to 1991 he was art director of the electronic and contemporary music festival "L'Altro Suono", featuring the most representative swiss avantgarde groups and musicians of that period [Unknownmix, Nachtluft, Ernst Thoma, Andres Bosshard, Voice Crack, Norbert Moslang, Stephan Wittwer and many others].
Honorary member and former president (2003-2011) of the SBF / Swiss Professional Photographers and Photo Designers Association, until 2011 he also worked as a professional studio photographer and author. Former member of the directive boards of the Büro für Fotografiegeschichte Bern and of the swiss photo design school. Solo and group photographic exhibitions with acquisitions by various public and private collections. 1. Prize of Photography of the STBA / Swiss Italian Fine Arts Society in 1994.
