My name is Ralph, I was born on the third of december, 1985, I live in Weert (that's in the Netherlands). I love music, life, motion, wendy (http://vallendester.deviantart.com , her great photography), my friends and family.

Music is a great inspiration for me. I love it, listening to it, playing it, reading about it, everything. My favorite bands are Fugazi, Mission of Burma, Drive Like Jehu, Sonic Youth, Big Black/Shellac, Rites of Spring, QotSA and loads of other artists.

A couple of my favorite filmmakers are Spike Jonze, Michael Gondry, Jem Cohen but also B-movie legends like Ed Wood.

I'm also working on my underground fanzine called Pinnacle Magazine. It has a channel on vimeo (http://www.vimeo.com/pinnaclemagazine). It's currently under construction (500 mb limit...) but it will feature bands like Shellac, Mudhoney, Medications and Blood Red Shoes.

THE ENTHOUSIASTS (working title)

A film about a group of 6 friends from the Netherlands, driving to Paris to film and interview the best band no one knows: MISSION of BURMA

We are arranging everything to make this yippee-ka-yee project work. I bought a Xh A1 camera from canon, rendering me broker than broke, but i finally have a decent camera.

We are looking for Parisians with a camera who would like to film at the mission of burma gig too. If you're going, let us know!

In the meantime we are still in the works are Shellac and Be Your Own Pet.

We are going to make a feature about the great gruesome twosome Blood Red Shoes. We've been shooting and participating in two awesome gigs and finishing it up with an interview at the Pinkpop festival in the end of this month. Hopefully the Xh A1 cam will be in by then.

    It would be quite handy if there was a more detailed overview of the views/comments/like your video's are getting. like a simple list of your video's with the views stats etc. behind it. And the possibility to choose for what period of time (day/week/month/year/eternity). In that case it's easy to see which video had the most views that week without browsing all the video's separately.

    with adam's suggestion, it's easier to find people who might want to join that group :P but in general, it would be handy because not everyone has joined a or the right group, plus i doubt if it would have any use to make a group for a town or small city. but with adam's suggestion you still can find people near your town easily and, i don't know, form a film crew and make your own production!

    how about if i have permission of the creator, for instance, when i make a video about a band i use the music of the band, but they have given the ok for it. oh, by the way, some of the indie labels, sub pop for instance, have special rules for non-profit or student films stated on their website. most indie bands, in my experience, don't mind if you use their music, just ask them or at least put the credits of the music in the video. it's like a bit more exposure for that band and it's music. especially with 'creative' video's like here on vimeo it's ok. if yr making a car commercial for international broadcasting, or a commercial of your local dry cleaner for that matter, they probably will mind.
