Raymond Salvatore Harmon is a cross genre media artist, filmmaker, sound artist, and record producer whose work has defied categorization for the past decade. As a new media artist and experimental filmmaker his work pushes at the boundaries between anthropological study, philosophic discourse, and contemporary art. With a CV extending from performance based 16mm and 8mm film to video circuit-bending and analog feedback installations as well as sound and visual conceptual installations and guerrilla media actions.

Over the course of the past ten years Harmon has been developing and evolving the theoretical and practical applications of transcendental cinema. Utilizing new media, web based content and interactive architecture in coordination with public performance, graffiti style ad bombing, and web based social engineering Harmon's work strives to replace the dogmatic principles of contemporary spirituality with the freedom of experiential transcendence.

Let me point out an obvious problem with the idea of limiting 'spam' videos by limiting group interaction. As the Staff has pointed out anyone who is a member of a group can add a video (anyones video) to that group, the limitation is per user/per video. So if one really wanted to 'spam' all you have to do is create a bunch of fake accts, sign up for 10 groups each, and add as many videos as you like to whatever group you want. It doesnt stop spamming at all. The only thing it does it limit actual people from broadcasting their work in a creative community. I understand the desire to control 'spam' video but this method only reduces public interaction. Anyone who wants to spam hundreds of groups with unrelated videos still can and if they are spammers they will figure out a way to do so, as I have outlined above. Please reconsider group limits. Plus members have verified accts, their is no reason to limit plus members becaue you know how they are and if they are reported can be penalized at that point. Penalizing everyone for the actions of a tiny few is not going to promote the open community Vimeo says it is.

Daniel, I belong to something like 30 groups, all of which are relevant to the films that I make. I pay Vimeo for this service and yet everyday it seems that vimeo is less and less looking out for independent filmmakers. How can vimeo implement changes without notifying users of those changes? It seems that at any time vimeo likes they can just change the variables of my acct and how its used without notifying me. I find this disturbing and have been considering more and more not renewing my plus status and taking my films elsewhere. Not to mention writing about these issues online.
