    Glenn,

Thanks. I've always had good luck with the fotodiox adapters so I'm sure yours will work great.

As for pulling focus, yes it can be hard at F1.9. Not much is in focus at that aperture so judging if your image is in focus from just the little LCD in real-time is hard to nail. The key is to setup the shot and then use the digital zoom to punch into your shot and set your focus. But in a run and gun situation it's much harder.

Sure a focus ring will always make focusing easier and will get your hand further away from the cam to help reduce shake but I don't know if it would help a whole lot. Might as well make a DIY focus ring for fun though.

The trickiest part is stabilization. Since these lenses don't have IS in them, you are going to see shake no matter how steady you hold it. Of course if you're on a tripod you can eliminate this. Getting the cam as stable as possible is going to be as tricky as pulling focus.

These cams produce great images when used correctly but they are very challenging at the same time. It's part of the fun but also part of the limitation.

Have fun and enjoy. It's great to be able to buy some old lenses to learn on.
