Rianne is a director, producer, writer, and educator working on independent films and commercial/corporate productions.

She is a filmmaker fellow of the Asian Film Academy of the prestigious Busan International Film Festival and a director/writer of the Asian Film Professionals Training Program of the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) in Busan and Seoul, Korea.

As a filmmaker, her first film “Karsel” (Prison) received the Kodak Film Award and Best Film Thesis at the University of the
Philippines Film Institute (UPFI). It was also nominated for the Gawad Urian Best Short Film Award. She produced her second film “Aninag” (Light’s Play) and her third film “Pera-perahang Lata” (Penny from the Tin Can) through film grants from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). “Aninag” also won Viva Film’s 1st PBO Digitales Film Contest.

Her films "Technophilia" and “Pera-perahang Lata” became the first Filipino independent films successfully projected in HD format
in the Philippines. She is also a finalist for the Yahoo! Movies Featured Critic Awards in the United States. She also won
the Las Vegas Filmmaker of the Year at the U.S. indie arts awards RAWards. She is the city’s official representative
to the national finals featuring other award-winning filmmakers coming from other key U.S. cities.
