Working with the moving image has enabled Richard Broomhall to produce a diverse body of work that is alive with oil seed rape, digital currency, folklore, mobile phone masts, livestock, landscape and the voices of man, animal and machine.
His single and multi screen works engage with the nature of filmic reconstruction and the fabrication of empathy, the narratives of specific locations, notions of polyphony and the relationship between the landscape and cultural and technological palimpsest.
His work is held in study collections and has been screened and installed at festivals, galleries, museums and on television across Europe, including: The Animal Gaze (animal gaze.org), Visions in the Nunnery, The Compass of Resistance film festival and Nasjonalgalleriet on NRK, Norway.
