It all started when I was a small child. Some of my first memories are agitating 35mm still picture film in a developing tank every 30 seconds with my father. Later I remember watching a picture appear in developer after it was exposed under the enlarger. My mother being a nurse was always concerned about the chemicals, I had to stand on a stool to reach up and help – after all I was only 4 or 5 years old. I can still remember not being able to go into the basement because there was 100 feet of 8mm movie film strung back and forth as it dried after being developed (didn’t want to raise any dust). Seems I grew up taking pictures of everything – it was great having a darkroom at home. In 1994 I started a recording studio, in 1999 we added video production and now 3 locations and 14 years later here we are with HD on Vimeo. And yes I collect Bolex movie cameras :-)
