Ride The Divide: A Mike Dion & Hunter Weeks Film.

Ride The Divide is an introspective look at three distinct mountain bikers taking on the longest mountain bike route in the world.

A group of cyclists including Mike, a 40-year old family man who uses this challenge to chart a new course in life; Matthew, a leader in extreme endurance racing who’s competing for his 5th time; and Mary, the first female rider to race this distance will set out to accomplish what very few have been able to. They will race their mountain bikes for over 2,700 miles from Banff, Canada to the Mexican border, climbing over 200,000 vertical feet over the Rocky Mountains. That’s the equivalent of ascending Mount Everest from sea level 7 times.

They’ll experience hellacious blisters, mental breakdowns, treacherous snow, and total fatigue. But they’ll also travel in some of the most awe-inspiring country around. From snow-capped peaks to small bumpkin towns to a land so rich in natural resources and wild animals, they’ll see the Rocky Mountains in a way that will make fairy tales seem ordinary.

To top it off, this event is self supported. The racers are completely on their own with absolutely no mechanical assistance from each other or outside support teams, and at times they’ll be traveling hundreds of miles in complete isolation.

When you take on a once in a lifetime challenge - the challenge you face is not always what you expected.
