    HUGELY IMPORTANT for Canon DSLR owners: The review at urbanfox tv states: "Atomos will have to disappoint Canon HD DSLR users who were hoping to be able to record perfect uncompressed video via their HDMI ports. The video should still be uncompressed (so long as you don't also record in camera at the same time on some models), but it won't be perfect, as it seems that Canon has helpfully included a white square or a red (recording) dot on a corner of the output, which will be noticeable if you try to use it as full HD."

    Read more at the review. This basically makes it useless to us 7D owners. Bummer

    So maybe I'm missing something. At 2:20 this guys says "...so you can monitor the video coming in the uncompressed HDMI..." and in this month's Movie Maker t says "monitor and playback device" and Atomos CEO Jeromy Young says "Most external ProRes recorders don't even have a screen - never mind one you can use as an EVF." Are you sure this can't be used as an EVF with 7D?
