ABOUT RITCHCRAFT

Ritchcraft began producing at age 16, and he has gradually improved his production skills through experimenting and learning different ways to enhance the musicality and quality of his music. This has been achieved through vast experience and education in the music industry.

To his credit, Ritchcraft has produced the beat for "We call the shots" by Spesh K and Markit, which has been aired on MuchMusic, Canada’s elite cable music network. Ritchcraft has also released a collaboration remix album, titled Frootloops; a solo Remix EP, Say It Ain't So; and, most recently, he has released another solo remix project, The Big Band Blueprint, which garnered huge interest and popularity within the first days of its release.

Currently, Ritchcraft is working with Hawdwerk, RA the MC, 3rd Degry, Kayo, members of the Nico Roth Music Group (nicoroth.com), and many more.

His interest in Hip Hop has always been apparent, and beat making started as a hobby that gradually took over his life. To Ritchcraft, hip hop is an expression of oneself, and is too often mistaken for material objects that one has. Of course, the rap/hip hop witnessed on tv/radio is almost always on 1 of 2 topics, and usually both, that is 'money' or 'women'. Ritchcraft attempts to break these ideologies by working with those who have a similar vision of what hip hop is and can become in the future
