24 days agoRNG35 commented on HV30 - DoF Test - 24p in Film School - FilmmakingThere has actually been a lot of study done with DOF adapters. If you use just your camera to get DOF you have to back away from the subject, then zoom in. This actually creates an unrealistic background blur because then the background is much larger than it would be in real life. I think DOF adapter user footage blurs in and out because if the focus pulling or rack focus (which they actually do use in movies). :)
