I'm an independent filmmaker from Portsmouth, England. I've been making films seriously for a year, but have been involved in film production for almost four. I Write, Produce and Direct my own films for work as both a film student, and for my own projects.

I currently use a Canon EOS 7D with the EF-S 15-85mm IS Zoom Lens USM f/3.5-5.6 as my walk-around lens. I also use the Cannon EF 50mm prime USM f/1.4 + plus a small collection of other glass here and there and some vintage lenses from the canon range of yesteryear.

On actual projects i use a Zoom H4n solid state audio recorder using external boom mic's pluged into the XLR inputs.

My kit is finished off with a full DSLR film making rig by Cinecity/Proaim which is DSLRkit11

I want to connect with my audience on an emotional level to really direct them to experience true feelings from my writing and composition, not through exploiting emotionally charged subject matter to evoke a response. Whether i will ever achieve it is a different matter though.

My main interest is in drama and fiction film production, but i also have a keen interest in documentary film-making aswell as many other disciplines including stop motion.

I enjoy all work where as an audience i am made to truly care about the characters, as i believe that the most important part of the film is it's script and how the director guides the audience through it.
