    I used a 17-40mm F4 L, and a 50mm F1.4. I use the Glidecam HD-2000, though I don't recommend using a 50mm with a steadycam as I did. Focus is too much of an issue, and the 50mm makes everything unstable. I've been looking into getting a wide angle prime, because my F4 isn't cutting it in low light. And definitely upgrade to one of the newer DSLRs with the improved video function. I used to shoot with the T1i and there's no control whatsoever with the video functions.
