ROBERT CHASE HEISHMAN Plus
Robert Chase Heishman (b. 1984) is an artist living and working in Chicago, Illinois USA. His mulit-disciplinary, and often collaborative practice is predicated on exploring that which is peripheral, with work addressing the photographic, phenomenological and, at times, the absurd. He has created an original décor (set design) for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company's Split-Sides (2003), contributed artwork for Sigur Rós' album BA BA TI KI DI DO, and spoke at Columbia College of Chicago, Kansas University, and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. He has held residency at the Charlotte Street Foundation of Kansas City, and is in the collection of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Walker Art Center. Heishman received his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2008, where he double-majored in Photography and Art History. Currently, he is an MFA candidate in Northwestern University's Art Theory and Practice department, expecting to graduate in 2012.
