Robertino Fonseca is a writer/director based out of Los Angeles who is an alumni of the American Film Institute. Since 2002, he has been a driving force in fusing film language with fashion, which he termed as ‘Fashion Cinema’. His films have been described as poetic, stylized character studies, exploring themes of alienation, romance, and cinephilia. LOUVER’, a fashion cinema series about designer, Louis Verdad was screened at Geffen Contemporary, MOCA in Los Angeles. 'THE WORLD ENDS WITHOUT YOU' a fashion film dedicated to the late, Alexander McQueen opened the LA JOLLA FASHION FILM FESTIVAL in 2010 and later screened at the LOS ANGELES DOWNTOWN FILM FESTIVAL. Currently, he is directing a new film, Across Time I Cry for British designer, Julia Clancey released this summer 2014.
