RCM recently co-wrote and directed ‘Red Bull Curates: The Canvas Cooler Project,’ the acclaimed webisodic series touring major US cities and featuring the most innovative urban contemporary artists as they turn their eye-catching designs into canvas-wrapped Red Bull coolers. A unique civic-minded project, Red Bull Curates stimulates the local art economy, builds careers, and connects the Red Bull brand with its audience through film and specialized gallery events.
RCM’s directorial debut film, The 2nd Assassination of JFK— a film about the end of the US-Manned Space program that focuses on intimate interviews with Kennedy Space Center’s astronauts and key technicians—won the Special Jury Award and Official Selection of the 2011 Worldfest Houston Intl Film Festival and
has garnered over 145,000 complete viewings on YouTube to date.
Vacation Island, a short art house film directed by RCM in 2011, was part of the official selection of the Straight 8 Film Festival. Additionally, Vacation Island was included as an Official Selection of the Rushes Soho Shorts Festival receiving private screenings at London’s illustrious Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) and the
2011 Berlin Film Festival.
Most recently, RCM’s short documentary 'Ouroboros' has been submitted into the 2013 film festival circuit. This film took 2 years to complete: it was shot entirely on 8mm film on location in Sri Lanka and is accompanied by an original score by SF/ Bay Area composer Mateo Lugo.
