Hi. I'm Rod. I'm a film director and producer.

After growing up in an upstate New York hamlet with a population of one hundred and sixty three, I now live in Los Angeles with my wife. I've spent the night in every state except South Dakota, enjoy driving in silence, love grapefruit, and non-fiction.

It's possible that you know my Funny or Die exclusive short films including my work with Dave Franco (21 Jump Street, Fright Night, Warm Bodies), Chris Mintz-Plasse (Superbad, Kickass), and Maggie Grace (Twilight, Taken, Californification, Lost). My short films 'Would You' (2012) and 'The Only Band In Town' (2010) have been official selections at SXSW, Palm Springs, and Starz Denver film festivals among others. My short film about the smallest town in America with a minor league baseball team 'Early Innings' (2012) was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick.

I began my career touring with the Grammy nominated rock band The Fray directing the feature length documentary film Fair Fight, released in 2009 by Sony Entertainment. My music videos for the band (which have a combined 6 million views on YouTube) have aired on MTV, VH1, & Fuse. A hard cover book of behind the scenes and life on the road photographs, 'There & Back', was published by Marquand Books in 2009.

Currently I'm directing the feature You Were Once Called Queen City, written by David Ebeltoft, which is being executive produced by Mark Pellington (Arlington Road, Henry Poole is Here, U2 3D, I Melt With You). We have a bunch of great actors attached including Academy Award winner Nat Faxon, Kyle Gallner, Addison Timlin, and Kevin Heffernan. I'm also a creative consultant for the new online news show, Huffington Post Live. I'm also a director and producer for Nintendo of America.

Occasionally I'll shoot photographs and my work has appeared in print for Denver Magazine, Billboard Magazine, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, and USA Today Weekend.
