Rodrigo Cruz was born in Mexico City in 1974.

He is a freelance photographer who collaborates with NGOs from Mexico and Canada.

He was instructor in Foundry Photojournalism Workshop - Argentina 2011, selected to participate in Descubrimientos PhotoEspaña in 2010 in Guatemala City and he is a recipient of Program of Formation of Photo-Essays Grant 2007-2008, summoned by National Council for the Culture and Arts in Mexico.

His work of human rights issues has won several prizes in Mexico and he won a 3rd place in 2010 POYi Latino America in Daily Life Multimedia category.

He has photographed for National Geographic – Latin America, The Wall Street Journal, Maclean’s, The Washington Post, Esquire – Russia, International Amnesty – Mexico, Calgary Herald, and Mexico Desconocido.
