In 2009 Rogue opened its doors as a boutique brand communication agency. At the time Brad Dessington had shifted gear from being Head of Strategy at Kemistry Brand Consultancy (and many strategy positions before that) to leading a small but potent team. Within 6 months the agency had doubled its staff compliment (we admit off a small base) and agency billings has increased by a dramatic 500%. Within the first 6 months our clients were predominantly financial services but this picture would quickly evolve into new clients from diverse industries knocking on our doors. We’re still proud of the fact that for this first year we were undefeated in any brand or communication pitch. In 2010 the space in which we worked became a bit tight for everyone and we quickly moved to Bryanston where we could take a deep breath and overlook a golf course.
By 2011 our clients ranged from the South African National Space Agency through to Standard Bank and saw us working within Financial Services, FMCG, Jewelry, Leisure and Hospitality, Mining and Resource, Personal Branding, Manufacturing, Professional Services and the Space Industry. Our client base includes B2B and Consumer brands and range from brand development projects through to creative communication (ATL and BTL).
In 2012 Rogue became a member of the BCSA (Brand Council of South Africa) and is extending its BEE credentials by developing an enterprise development initiative that will be launched in 2013.
