Revive the Redheads

Joined / Toronto/Vancouver, BC

Composing together since age six, this twin sister-duo that makeup Revive the Redheads share an extraordinary collaborative style that unapologetically reflects on personal love, mortality, modern war and sexuality. In the same vein as Tori Amos’ debut "Little Earthquakes" and Fiona Apple’s "Tidal", Jess and Alexis are making a powerful entrance into the world of singer/songwriters with their debut, Heirloom. While some songs pay subtle homage to musical inspirations, and others are a sound experiment in expressing their affinity for the dark side, Heirloom is a slow reveal of sorts that requires a patient and curios ear. The booming analog piano of the track 'Sound of Pain' and the bowed guitar tantrums that surface in 'What's in a Day' are just the beginning of what you'll expect to hear on the Heirloom EP. Joining Jess and Alexis on Heirloom is the noteable experimental cellist Cris Derksen, Benny Schutze of Topless Gay Love Tekno Party, writer/musician Joel Bakan, and guitarist Chris Leitch of the indie-experimental rock band Analog Bell Service.
