Ryan Andrew Balas is a New York City Indie Filmmaker. He began his directing career when he wrote and directed the multi-media stage play "Goodnight, Goodbye, I love you". Ryan Studied acting at the American Musical and Drama Academy in New York City and Los Angeles. In the fall of 2006, Ryan came back to New York City to revive his creative spirit and begin work on his own indie projects. He has since directed, produced and starred on the web series "The Really Cool show" at thereallycoolshow.com--which at the end of 2008 had over 6 million views.
He also produced/directed and starred in the improvised feature film Sandcastles, which is now featured as on online series exclusively on VIMEO.
His second feature film "Carter" was completed at the end of 2008 and premiered in Chicago. It is now available for purchase at carterthemovie.com and 1wayoranother.net
